Austrian Minister Welcomes Kurdish Female Activists



Eva Maria Holzleitner, the Austrian Minister for Women, Science, and Research, welcomed four Kurdish female activists in the capital, Vienna. During the meeting, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, discussions focused on the role of Kurdish women in Austria, social activities, and the importance of women's organization.

The meeting was attended by Hiwa Hussein, a member of the Kurdish Diaspora Women’s Federation, alongside Helena Ahmed, Evin Qadirian, and Berivan Kargin. The participants highlighted the work and efforts of Kurdish women in the diaspora, and also shed light on women's participation in social and political life.

At the end of the visit, Hiwa Hussein presented a "Kezi" (braid) artwork as a special gift to Minister Holzleitner. The gift was appreciated as a symbol of Kurdish culture and art, and was warmly received.
