The Congress of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation in Stockholm
On September 15, 2024, in the ABF Hall in Stockholm, the founding congress of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation was held, led by the President of the Federation, Shirin Zeky, and executive committee member Åžermin Bozarslan.
We are pleased to announce that 15 women from across Kurdistan enthusiastically became founding members of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Congress.
At the beginning of the event, KDWF President Shirin Zeky delivered a speech, informing congress members about the work and the process of establishing the KDWF.
Following a discussion on the work report and the goals of the association, the congress unanimously approved the formation of the federation. Among the key objectives are: securing support for women's rights, advocating for the national rights of our people, promoting the right to read and write in their own language, and advancing work rights and opportunities for the development of Kurdish women.
As a result of the elections, the following individuals from the four parts of Kurdistan were elected to the working group:

- Evin Saleh
- Mahin Ashrafi
