Seminar for Women's Organizations

On Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 3 PM to 6 PM in Oslo, Norway, a seminar was organized by Bawar Society and the Kurdish Cultural Center (Kurdisk Trosamfunn og Kultursenter).

The seminar was conducted with the support of Mr. Najman Sindhi, Ms. Evin Haji, and program director Ms. Shiraz Harki. Kurdistan TV covered the event, with Mr. Younis Hamad Kurdi reporting.

As an important international organization, the Federation of Kurdistan Diaspora Women participated in the seminar at the official invitation of Bawar Society and the Kurdish Cultural Center. Ms. Darya Khoshnaw, head of the Federation of Kurdistan Diaspora Women in Norway, and Ms. Koestan Omarzadeh, a member of the Executive Board, represented the Federation at the event.

Each participant, representing one or more organizations, presented their topics in a panel discussion.

Ms. Darya Khoshnaw, in her capacity as head of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women’s Federation in Norway, congratulated the organizers on the opening of the Kurdish Cultural Center, wished them success, and expressed gratitude for hosting the seminar.

She then extended heartfelt congratulations to mothers worldwide, particularly Kurdish mothers, in honor of Mother's Day. She wished them long lives and good health.

During the panel, Ms. Khoshnaw provided a detailed presentation on the formation of the Federation of Kurdistan Diaspora Women, its mission, and its objectives.

She also highlighted the sensitive situation of the Kurdish people, emphasizing the importance of unity, tolerance, and respect for diverse opinions. She reiterated the Federation’s ongoing commitment to defending human rights in general and women's rights in particular, describing women's freedom as the cornerstone of overall human freedom. She urged everyone to take responsibility and support these fundamental rights.

The seminar concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony in celebration of Mother's Day. Panel participants, including Ms. Evin Haji, Ms. Darya Khoshnaw, Ms. Rangin Mahma, Ms. Avan Salih, and Ms. Zin Barzanji, joined in congratulating one another on the occasion.
