Seminar by the KDWF in Sweden and Norway in Collaboration with G100

On the occasion of March 8 – International Women's Day, the Federation of Kurdish Diaspora Women in Sweden and the Federation of Kurdish Diaspora Women in Norway participated in an online seminar via Zoom, in collaboration with the international organization G100.

It is noteworthy that the Federation of Kurdish Diaspora Women was the main organizer of the seminar, with support from G100.

The seminar was led by Bodil Valero, President of G100, former Member of the Swedish Parliament, and former Member of the European Union Parliament.

Main Themes of the Seminar

The seminar began with an introduction about the G100 organization, followed by a discussion on violence against women.

Bodil Valero explained the structure and mission of G100, emphasizing that the organization includes parliamentarians, ministers, Nobel laureates, renowned writers, intellectuals, and activists working together for a more just and safer world. G100 members advocate for 100 core values that define the organization’s principles.

She also highlighted the current situation in Syria and the Middle East, stressing the importance of legal frameworks that protect women and children.

The seminar concluded with a call for continued collaboration and joint activism to advance women's rights.
