Participation of the President of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation in a Preparatory Meeting to Protest Against the Killing of Women in Kurdistan
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Ms. Shirin Zaki, President of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation, participated in a preparatory meeting organized by our organization in collaboration with several civil society organizations, influential figures, and representatives of Kurdistan's trade unions.
The meeting focused on the tragic case of Dr. Sana, Dr. Sanaria, and their parents, whose brutal murder has deeply shaken Kurdistan in recent days. Participants shared their suggestions and insights to develop a long-term strategy and policies aimed at protecting women from gender-based violence and advocating for amendments to laws concerning women's safety in Kurdistan.
The Protest Group Against the Killing of Women in Kurdistan is calling on the Kurdish people, civil society organizations, and human rights defenders to join a protest rally in the coming days to demand justice and stronger protections for women.
