Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation in Västra Götaland

The annual meeting of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation in West Gotland was held on 8 September 2024, chaired by Ms. Sharmin Bozerslan, Director of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation.

A number of women from all four regions of Kurdistan were in attendance. Additionally, a significant number of women expressed their support and hope for the organization by phone, registering as members.

All the women present brought considerable experience in organizational, social, and professional work, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among women across all parts of Kurdistan to build a more equitable society.

At the end of the meeting, peaceful elections were held:

• Five members were elected to the Executive Committee:

• Sazan Jalal Ahmad was elected President.

• Mayasa Mahmoud was elected Secretary to the President.

• Berivan Mazuri was elected Financial Director.

• Shirin Karo was elected Media Director.

• Mahabad Rashid was assigned to oversee letters and protocols of the organization's meetings.

• Parvana Haidari and Khunav Saleh were elected as assistants to the Executive Committee.

The meeting concluded with the election of the head auditor and the election preparatory committee.
