Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation Engages with IFJ President on Women's Rights and Journalism

The Executive Board of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation convened with Domenic Pradalie, President of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), on April 23, 2024. Present were Ms. Shirin Zeky, President of the Federation, Dr. Nazakat, Advisory Member of the Federation, and Darya Khoshnaw, IFJ member and board member of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation.

The agenda encompassed:

1. Introductions and operational overview of the federation.

2. Deliberations on the status of Kurdish women, particularly those in the diaspora, with special emphasis on women journalists and the contextual challenges they face.

3. Exploring avenues of collaboration and mutual engagement for forthcoming projects and initiatives.
