Kurdistan Celebrates Flag Day: Symbolizing Unity, Sacrifice, and National Pride

Happy Kurdistan Flag Day!

Each year, on December 17, the Kurdistan flag is proudly raised as a national symbol, in accordance with the Kurdistan Parliament's Decision No. 48 of June 19, 2004.

The origins of the Kurdistan flag trace back to the Kurdistan Republic in Mahabad. The Kurdish people have sacrificed greatly, with many martyrs, in the endeavor to elevate this flag as a symbol of national pride.

Hoisting the sacred Kurdistan flag is a collective national duty. It is incumbent upon everyone to safeguard this emblem of our country's glory, irrespective of political views or differing opinions. It is through this flag that we protect and preserve our national achievements.

On this momentous occasion, the Federation of Kurdistan Diaspora Women extends heartfelt congratulations to the Kurdish people. We consider it our solemn responsibility to safeguard and honor the Kurdistan flag, recognizing it as a symbol of our nation's enduring struggle and the sacrifices made.
