Kurdish Medical Experts Gather in London for Winter Seminar and Cancer Fundraiser

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Bafrin Hamarshid Hama Saeed, Head of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation in the UK, and Ms. Dunya Hiwa Ahmad, Member of the Board of Directors of the Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation in the UK, participated in a winter seminar at the Hilton Hotel in London.

The seminar was organized and supervised by the Kurdistan Medical and Scientific Federation (KMSF-UK) and included a fundraising event. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Hiwa Hospital in Sulaimani to support cancer patients.

The seminar covered essential and insightful medical and scientific topics, presented by distinguished professionals, including:

• Dr. Aram Saeed – Specialist in Pharmaceutical Development and Medical Innovation at the University of Algiers

• Dr. Aras Asad – Mathematician and Computer Scientist at the Oxford Innovation Centre

• Farooq Pakzad – Consultant Breast Cancer and Oncoplastic Skin Surgeon

• Sirwan Haddad – Consultant Oncoplastic and Breast Reconstructive Surgeon

The main focus of the seminar was to provide crucial information about cancer and its treatments. Additionally, the event aimed to highlight the expertise and contributions of Kurdish doctors in the field of medicine and healthcare, showcasing their talent and dedication as valuable assets to the community.
