International Monitoring of Kurdistan Parliamentary Elections by Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation
The Kurdistan Diaspora Women’s Federation (KDFW), as an international organization, played an instrumental role in monitoring the Kurdistan parliamentary elections through its team of international observers.
From October 18 to 20, 2024, KDFW monitored and documented the voting process across the provinces of Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok, and Halabja with the support of 450 international observers. Notably, KDFW obtained an observation license in advance from the Independent High Election Commission, in collaboration with the Kurdistan-Finland Friendship Association, and participated in a preparatory training course over several days.
Throughout both private and public voting days, the process was successfully monitored, with observations recorded to help improve future voting procedures.
