Celebrating the Success of the Second Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation Congress in Berlin

On December 7–8, 2024, the Federation of Kurdistan Diaspora Women participated as an active and influential organization in the second congress of the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation in Berlin, Germany. Held under the theme "Our Unity is Our Victory," the congress showcased a strong national spirit, emphasizing the promotion of the Kurdish language, identity, rights, and freedoms, particularly in support of West Kurdistan.

The Federation of Kurdistan Diaspora Women extends heartfelt congratulations to all congress members, with special recognition to Ms. Sharmin Bozerslan, a member of the Executive Committee and the Advisory Board of the Federation, for achieving a distinguished position in the elections.

This successful congress gathered over 400 members and guests from all four parts of Kurdistan and across the globe, including members of parliament, political leaders, and prominent figures in the Kurdish community. The participation of Kurdish women from Europe, the United States, Canada, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Red Kurdistan was particularly noteworthy. These women, equipped with rich professional and academic backgrounds, played significant roles throughout the event.

The empowerment of women was a defining feature of the congress. Female participants, many of whom were scholars and academics, demonstrated leadership and made substantial contributions to the discussions and activities.

The congress outlined a future roadmap, which includes a newly adopted constitution aimed at advancing the Kurdish cause. After thorough deliberations, the proposals were overwhelmingly approved by the participants.

On the second day, nine members were elected to the Executive Committee, with two additional members appointed as deputies.

The Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation remains committed to serving the legitimate Kurdish cause with unity and cooperation from all sectors, beliefs, and voices of the Kurdish community.
