Alexander Stubb Triumphs: Elected as Finland's New President in Historic Election

The Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation congratulates Alexander Stubb, the new President of Finland.

On January 28th, 2024, the first presidential election in Finland was held. Alexander Stubb,, won the most votes (27.2%), while Pekka Haavisto garnered 25.8% of the vote. As neither candidate reached 50%, a second round was necessary. In the second round, Alexander Stubb secured 51.6% of the votes, thus becoming the new president of Finland, We, as the KDWF, congratulate him and wish him success in his new role.
