The Kurdistan Diaspora Women’s Federation, KG Lobby Center and CNS are presenting at the G100 Leadership Summit 2026 in Sesimbra, Portugal, bringing the voices, experiences and aspirations of Kurdish women to an international platform dedicated to women’s empowerment and global leadership. This participation is an opportunity to highlight the important role Kurdish women have played and continue to play in civil society, cultural preservation, social change, leadership and the pursuit of a stronger future for their communities and nation. Representing the Kurdistan Diaspora Women’s Federation:
Shirin Zeky and Arez Mohamadi Representing KG Lobby Center & Congress of
Nations and States (CNS): Awring Shaways-Hoogendoorn
Together, we will contribute to conversations that place Kurdish women, Kurdish identity and Kurdish voices within the broader global dialogue on women’s leadership and empowerment. Kurdish stories through film As part of our participation we will also present the documentary:
“Arar and Ajaj’s Dogs” By producer: Mohamed Haji Kadir The documentary offers another way of bringing Kurdish experiences and stories to an international audience because empowerment is not only about having a seat at the table, but it's about earning it, having the opportunity to tell our own stories, preserve our memories and make our voices heard.
As Kurdish women we are not only witnesses to history we are shaping it.
